2004 Tour of Borrego Hillclimb Results
| Eric Schowengerdt who won last years event, could not
make an appearance to defend his title from last year since he got injured
in a Mountain Biking accident. Herb Johnson who placed second last year had
better luck and came back to win the hillclimb and broke last year's record
in doing so! Conditions were warmer than last year and there was a slight tailwind helping the riders. Herb started out with another blistering pace and kept it up till the end. Kevin McNulty who placed second kept Herb in his sights till the very end and shaved many minutes off his time of last year. Kevin had predicted a sub 50 minute time. Will that happen in 2005?
