Tour of Borrego Hillclimb Results
| Pierre Redmond who won last years event, turned in a time
almost a minute faster than last year, yet he could only manage a 6th place
overall! The winning time this year was 9 and 1/2 minutes faster! Conditions were cool and there was no wind to speak of so it was a perfect day for a new record. The pace started out blistering and one wondered if they could keep it up. Keep it up they did and 6 riders shattered the old record of 1:03:09 from last year. Following are the results from this years group of climbers. Outstanding rider honors go to second place Herb Johnson who was only about 30 seconds behind the winner at the age of 59!! Will next years time go below 50 minutes??
